Hello there all,
My original question was the following:
<> I have about 60 Solaris boxes and I have come to the point that I need to automate
<> the process of getting patches from sunsolve and automatically installing them on
<> all machines. Is anyone aware of any sort of tool or program that you may have
<> encountered that somehow retrieves/checks for obsolete patches and conflicts that
<> I might be able to use?
<>
<> I am currently using "patchdiag" but the CD distribution that it comes with does not
have all the advertised patches..
Many thanks to :
Reto Lichtensteiger <rali@meitca.com>
Here is the solution as Reto Lichtensteiger explained to me:
The most recent issue of "Login" has an article called "ToolMan meets PatchReport" that
describes a tool to do pretty much +exactly+ what you're asking ..
Here is the URL for all of you that are interested:
http://www.cs.duke.edu/~wjs/pr.html
Many thanks to the author of the tool , Mr. Joe Shamblin (wjs@cs.duke.edu)
