I strongly advise against using Solaris PPP.. better off using a free
implementation that is much easier to configure.
ftp://merit.edu/pub/ppp/unix/ppp-2.2.tar.gz

Win 95 uses either "chap" or clear text and you can set that up on
win 95, also have the win 95 open a terminal window after dialing so
that you can interact with the logon process to the sun box, after
you document that you can use the dialup scripting in win 95 to
automate this.

I think this might have something to do with the baud rate at which U are
connecting.Try changing the baud rate and it should work.

In the end, I'm still working on this, but I think I might end up with door
#1. I can't get past the garbled text I get when I dial in with a terminal,
and nothing is really showing up in the log files.
Thanks for the help!!
