My problem is as follows:

When I tried to su root, I got a message saying the root password was
expired, but I can login as root with the same passwd. So I have to change
the password and then change it back to make su root working. I really
want to know why this problem happened. Any answers and tips are
wellcomed. I'll summarize.

All the answers I'v got so far pointed out the password aging was set, but
that's not the case I had. I didn't set the aging. Sorry for not making it
clear. New answers are welcomed.
