Last week I asked about putting a Compaq ProLiant Storage System onto a
Sun system. This doesn't seem to hav been a common configuration,
considering the number of replies I received. I'd like to thank these
Sun Managers for taking the time to reply though:
David Conran <lucifer@maths.uq.edu.au>
Rick von Richter <rickv@mwh.com>
Jim Harmon <jharmon@telecnnct.com>
F. David Sinn <dsinn@dsinn.seanet.com>
roop@media.microland.co.in (roop kumar)
The votes came in this way:
2 said they'd done it using Disksuite without any problems. Both
recommended using a separate fast/wide controller to avoid target
number clashes.
2 said beware Compaq scsi only works with Compaq controllers.
1 said to check that they weren't IDE disks.
The original question is included below.
