hi,
the original question was:
under solaris 2.5.1, what is the size limitation for a
tmpfs file system when formating a disk?
the size limitation is 2 Gby.
from john dimarco:
> In 2.5.1, tmpfs size in bytes is stored in an unsigned int --
> that's 2GB max, so tmpfs'es larger than 2GB are out.
casper dik provided the following information:
> It's actually 3.75 GB (depending on patch level)
i checked, and the 2.5.1 recommended patches, and 104259-03
don't address that problem. these were the only patches for
solaris 2.5.1 that i had access to.
