Hello All, you should like this I will answer my own question! Since this
group is so helpful, I thought I share the info...
Problem was that after some patch removals and installs, showrev -p reported:
showrev: get_env_var(SUNWcsu, SUNW_PATCHID) as a regular user.
The fix:
chmod 644 /var/sadm/pkg/SUNWcsu/pkginfo
(This was found by doing a truss -o showrev_out showrev -p on a system
that worked, and a system that did work.)
