The answer is simple...
I was running out of Pseudo Terminals which are in /dev/pts/
that are by default only 48 in Solaris 2.5.1 and
maximum to set 3000..
how do you add more Pseudo Teminals??
you add the lines..... (in your /etc/system file)
set pt_cnt=1024
set npty=1024
if you want 1024 Pseudo Terminals..
and do a nice "boot -r"
I appologize for this question since is appears in the Solaris2 FAQ
under these items..
5.27) I get /dev/ptmx: No such device when attempting to telnet/rlogin
in.
You need to increase the number of pseudo ttys (See 3.39).
3.39) How can I have more than 48 pseudo-ttys?
Thanks..
