My original posting:
I have several workstations running as networker clients backing up to a
SparcServer 1000. Recently one of the clients started failing with the
following error messages:
* netguru:/ 2 retries attempted
* netguru:/ save: WISS error, invalid page number
* netguru:/ save: shutdown failed
* netguru:/usr/local 2 retries attempted
* netguru:/usr/local save: WISS error, invalid page number
* netguru:/usr/local save: shutdown failed
* netguru:/home 2 retries attempted
* netguru:/home save: WISS error, invalid page number
* netguru:/home save: shutdown failed
* netguru:index 2 retries attempted
* netguru:index nsrindexasm: save failed on
/export/raid2/nsr/index/netguru/db
* netguru:index save: external ASM `nsrindexasm' exited with code 1
* netguru:index save: /export/raid2/nsr/index/netguru/db was not
successfully sa
ved
* netguru:index save: SYSTEM error, I/O error
If anyone has had this problem before I'd appreciate any assistance you may
offer. I will also report the solution Summary.

I received one response. Thanks Jeffrey!

It looks like hte index file for that client may be corrupted. I suggest that
you run nsrck on it. Also, make sure that you haven't hit the 2GB
filesize limit for the index file.
------------------------------------------
I ran nsrls and nsrck on the index files. nsrls showed the database to be
100% utilized. nsrck didnt seem to compress the db so I ran the gui and
reclaimed space via the Indexes option.
