SUMMARY (no replies/update): Upgrading from Solstice DiskSuite 4.0 to 4.1

I've had no replies. Is ANYONE running Solstice DiskSuite 4.1? I am planning my
next server maintanence for the upcoming weekend and need to decide if upgrading
from SDS 4.0 to 4.1 is part of the scheduled work.

I have closely reviewed what serves as a manual covering SDS 4.1 installation
and it APPEARS painless. All I seem to have to do is to just install the SDS 4.1
packages, preferably with the admintool to ensure proper package ordering. I
plan on leaving my meta device configuration as is, including the trans logging
of all filesystem other than root. I am also considering whether I should first
do a full tape ufsdump of all filesystems. The only problem is that this would
take a great deal of my maintanence window and probably prevent me from
completing all the work necessary during this shot. Meaning another session the
next weekend (yuk, that one's a long holiday weekend ... yeah, that gives me
more time to fix whatever I break ;-)

Thanks again for any replies,
Marc

--- original question ---

I have a server running Solaris 2.5 and DiskSuite 4.0. Sun has strongly
recommended that I upgrade to DiskSuite 4.1 PRIOR to adding a new 12-disk
multi-pack. Has anyone out there performed this upgrade? What is the procedure
involved and how risky is it? I really don't have the time for this, but I have
been told that getting onto DiskSuite 4.1 will significantly reduce any risks of
data loss during our disk upgrade. Since I really get only one chance, I need to
get things right on the first try, so any advice based on experience would be
GREATLY appreciated.
