Problem: When I tried to reinstall SunOS 4.1.1 from tape on a SparcStation
1+, I get the following message "panic hat_pmgreserve: invalid pmg".
I would like to thank Russ Poffenberger for telling me what is the cause
of this problem, and how to solve it. Recently we added 32 Mb in RAM using
4 Mb SIMMs to our machine to totalize 40 Mb of RAM, with 8 SIMMs of 1 Mb
each. The problem arises because the 4 Mb SIMMs were not in the first
bank. The solution was simple: to change the 4 Mb SIMMs to the first
bank.
