Thanks to all who responded to the original posting of:

"I am trying to get the SS5 to pass an analog audio signal straight thru to the internal speaker. Does anyone have any sugesstions to accomplish this?"

The message that worked the best was by,

Message was:

"Use the audio control:Record-> Monitor Volume in:-
/usr/openwin/bin/audiotool"

I found that by selecting either input 'Line In' or 'Internal CD' so was the signal selected.
