Thanks for all the reply. Unfortunately none of the
answers fixed the problem.

        Looks like solaris does not digest HP's aging mechanism.
        So if aging is enabled on the HP nis server, then solaris
        does not allow any NIS users to login.

So right now I have diabled aging mechanism on my HP NIS server.
