Summary of DNS

Many thanks to all who replied to this message. Danial hedrick
and Mauricio F. Nogueira ponited me to put a "." in my search path
under /etc/resolv.conf file. It works! One thing still puzzles me though.
Why it worked before for several years with the original setup in
/etc/resolv.conf file, but not to work any more since two days ago.

As long as the problem is gone, I am not worried about the past.
