I received quite a few messages suggesting the wu-ftp FAQ might be a
good source of information, and a few that suggested just reading the
documentation would be helpful. All quite correct. I had
misconfigured the ~ftp/dev and ~ftp/usr/lib directories. Once I got
this straightened out, everything works great.
