Original question:
Hi,
I'm sitting at my Sun Sparc running Solaris 2.5.1 or Dec Alpha box
running DU ver. 4.0 and I'm try'ing to edit some text files that
reside on my WinNT 4.0 box. I'm tired of ftp'ing files with WS_ftp
from the WinNT 4.0 box. Is there a way to 'mount' this from the Unix
side? Is this just an issue of picking up a copy of SunNFS or
Netmanage's PCNFS product? Could it be that easy?
Thanks in advance.
Answers:
Well, everbody said to use Samba. One person realized that I did not
want to store my files permanently on the Unix side. I still want them
to reside on the NT filesystem. I just want to share them from the NT
box and then mount that shared folder onto my Unix box where I can make
modifications. I do not believe Samba can help me there or am I wrong?
