The answer is to use 'xdpyinfo'.
However, in Solaris 2.5.1 the output shows as version 11 revision
3510. Huh?
But more than a few people responded that Solaris 2.5.1 uses
X11R5.
I want to upgrade to X11R6 but according to Mike Frisch:
>You can install X11R6 on Solaris 2.5.1, but you'll lose some of
the Sun

8-bit colour.
