The users here are accustomed to using "xterm" instead of "cmdtool" while
in openwindows, and prefer to use "xterm" instead of "dtterm" while in CDE.
 
However, the Openwindows function of "double-click on the border" to
change the window to full height does not work in CDE. Can we regain
this functionality?

Solution is, (further suggestions still welcome)
 
Double click is Openwindows only, no solution. Changing a resource to make
the "maximize" button do vertical only is a good workaround. ie,
 
Dtwm*maximumClientSize: vertical
