SUMMARY: Ramdisks for Solaris

According to the net there are no ramdisks for solaris (or unix in
general) because of virtual memory. There is a special memory partition
(man tmpfs) that allows a person to set up a memory based partition (it
uses your swap space), but this is not guaranteed to remain in memory.
One option is to by a solid state disk which would be very fast
(www.quantum.com). Thanks to the following folks:
