Currently I have all the recommended patches installed that came with
Solaris 2.4. I have since installed 2 patches (one being Jumbo Kernel patch
101945-41). This patch appears to have made many of the recommended patches
obsolete (including 101945-10). The command `showrev -p` shows that the
obsolete patches are still installed.

might remove software packages that have been placed by the new patch
101945-41 and replace them with the unpatched software (assuming the old
software was saved during patch installation).

How do you guys usually take obsolete patches off the `showrev -p` list?

There was no easy 100% safe way to do this.
The consensus is you cannot back out obsolete patches after new patches have
been installed. You have to back them out before the new patch is
installed. You can back out them out in the reverse installed order but
this is not recommended. A few suggestions included a program to give more
"friendly" output than the `showrev -p` and a program that automates backing
out and reinstalling patches. Since I am not running out of space on the
/var partition, I think I will just leave well enough alone. Thanks for the
responses.
