I asked for help massaging printjobs bound for remote printers
under SunOS 4.1.x.
The consensus is input filters and terminal flags are only
considered on local printers, and this won't work:
:lp=:rm=machine:rp=remo1:if=/usr/local/bin/mungit:ms=onlcr:
Several people reported tramping down this path already, and suggested
creating local printer entires that would invoke an input filter. The
input filter can do the massage, and requeue the printjob into the
proper remote queue.
I've been successul with that approach:
:lp=/dev/null:if=/usr/local/bin/mungit:
