Hi Managers,

Summary:
"David Evans" <djve@deakin.edu.au> hitted the head of the nail.
Setting the auto-boot to false solved the problem. The auto-boot was set to false before
we performed upgrade on another Ultra Sparc. The machine reboted when the installation
was completed.

Thank you for the responses from:
Stanislav Protassov <st@sw.org.sg>

"Cheng, Bruce" <Bruce.Cheng@aspect.com>

Orignal question:
We upgraded our Ultra Sparc to Solaris 2.5.1 recently. We decided to "install" instead of
"upgrade". When the installation was completed, the machine was hung. We have to use
the last resort: "STOP A" to reboot. The machine seemed to be running OK after reboot.I
wonder whether this was normal or we had missed something along the way.

The Ultra Sparc is Ultra Sparc 140 running NIS+.

Thank you.

Regards
Alan
