Q: How can I change my machine's mode (standalone, server) ?

A: Look up /var/sadm/install/logs/ or whereever, first.Make sure what
you use.
sys-unconfig command will remove the current information about
your network and halt the machine. When you boot again, it will ask
about hostname, IP address, netmask, name servers and root passwd.
If you want to make full server, reinstall OS.
Maybe, Solstice Launcher works for quick change that comes with
AdminSuite.

Simple Answer: Read the FAQs, UNIX System Administration Handbook,
the manual page sys-unconfig(1M).
