Hello all,
Here it is....the final summary for this problem.
Once again, Steve Butterfield has come to the rescue. Thanks heaps,
Steve!!
The answer to this problem lies with the /usr/dt/config/Xservers file.
I copied this file to /etc/dt/config/Xservers and modified the last line
of /etc/dt/config/Xservers to look like the following:
:0 Local local_uid@console root /usr/openwin/bin/Xsun -dev
/dev/fbs/tcx0 defdepth 8
And it works......
I'm sure it has been said before.....but, I'll say it again.....this
mailing list is GREAT!!
Regards,
Danny

Danny,
Well since I am on a roll try this ....
/usr/dt/config/Xservers is a default configuration file and before
making any
changes to the file you may wish to copy it to the /etc/dt/config
directory.
Then change the last line in the /etc/dt/config/Xservers as follows:
:0 Local local_uid@console root /usr/openwin/bin/Xsun :0 -dev /dev/fb
defclass TrueColor defdepth 24
Obviously substituting your own args.
Best Regards,
Steve Butterfield.
