Question: Is it possible to switch between 8 and 24 bit in X (Server)
          on Solaris 2.5 X86 ?

Answer: Many thanks to Cristian Gavazzeni (cristian@italy.sun.com)
          for the answer.

Use kdmconfig (1M) - configure or unconfigure keyboard, display and
mouse options for OpenWindows and internalization

You can follow these two steps (I suggest in single-user mode) :
            1) kdmconfig -u
               (This unconfigure your console-configuration)
            2) kdmconfig -cf
(This allow you to configure properly your system)

BTW /etc/openwin/server/etc/OWconfig is the ASCII-file were the
          informations are stored.
