SUMMARY: Kernel Params

Original Post:

A consultant doing some work for us (installing some software we recently
purchased) wants to find out what our kernel parameters are for our Sun
Solaris 2.4 box are. I suspect that they are in some sort of text file, but
I have looked in /kernel and have not had much luck. Anyone have any ideas
- the consultant needs to take a peek to make sure the new stuff will work
with our system.

On a related question, how can I tell what patches are installed on the
same system?

I'll post a summary for the benefit of the entire list.

SUMMARY:

Too many kind folks answered to list you by name, but the answers were
pretty much all the same. The kernel parameter file is /etc/system. You can
find out your current parameters by running sysdef.

Also, showrev -p will show you what patches are installed.

Thanx a lot to all who responded.
