Summary Fortran License dying at random

Thanks to all that replied. I believe the following steps as suggested by a number of people solved the problem.

1. I removed the expired Feature line from 2 files
   - /opt/SUNWspro/license_dir/sunpro.lic,1
   - /etc/opt/licenses/licenses_combined

2. Verified that both files were identical

3. Downed license, restarted license and lmreread license
