Hi, everyone,

As it turned out, my problem is related to the SS1+. I tried to install a
fresh copy of solaris on it, and discovered that there's a problem on the
NVRAM (incorrect checksum). I don't know if it's only that or if the
keyboard port is also bad, but I'll have to send it to maintenance.

Thanks for all who replied.

Subject: Correction: Can't setup up keyboard

Hi, everyone

I had posted this letter yesterday, but forgot to mention that I'm using
a type 4 keyboard and mouse, and any type 4 keyboard that I plug in that
machine gives the same problem, although they work alright on others SS1+
and SS2. Furthermore, I'm able to do a Stop-A on the system, so it should
be recognizing the keyboard.

>Here I have a SS1+ who refuses to boot. When I turn on the machine, it
>starts loading the system (solaris 2.3) then suddenly it gives the
>following messages:
>
>WARNING: mouseconfig: can't push mouse line discipline: error 22
>NOTICE: consconfig: no mouse found
>WARNING: consconfig: can't push keyboard line discipline: error 22
>panic: consconfig: can't set up keyboard
>syncing file systems .... done
>rebooting....

>it reboots and then gives the same problem. It's not the keyboard, as I
>have another one which is working fine, and it gives the same problem.

>Anyone has any ideia about what could be causing that ?

Again, TIA and I'll summarize
