I should have mentioned that I am familiar with screen (a little) :-)
The prevailing suggestion is to run the GNU program "SCREEN" which is
available at prep.ai.mit.edu:/pub/gnu/screen-3.7.1.tar.gz. I had considered
this, though I've not used screen extensively due to the security problems
it had (has?).
It must be configurable to read, say, the "diamond" key (next to ALT on the Sun
Keyboard) to signal a switch to the next console. I might give it a shot.
Thanks for all the generous help, from this and other requests I've made. I
really appreciate it!
Forrest
