thanx a lot to the big crew answering my question. Beside a couple of offers
of special hacks the following tools was mentioned:
xrolo
mrolo
yrolo
xrolodesk
xmbase-grok
xmaddressbook
These tools are available at ftp.x.org under the different /contrib directories.
For my needs the winner is yrolo. A couple of nice features, easy to handle
and install.
