To paraphrase the replies, all basicaly the same:
The quota command return values based upon a block size of 1024 bytes
as said in the man pages. The values used by quotaclt are the block
sizes defined in /user/include/sys/param.h which are 512 bytes.
And the question is solved. While I had read the man pages on quota and
checked ufs_quota.h I had neglected to calm down and check param.h.
