I sent out the attached request a couple of weeks ago. To be able to use the
Enter, Page Up and Page Down keys in Ingres, edit the file
/usr/openwin/lib/app-defaults/XTerm by remove the following entries.

  @Num_Lock<Key>KP_Enter
  <Key>KP_Enter
  <Key>Prior:scroll-back
  <Key>Next:scroll-forw

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find the solution in getting the F1 key to work
in Ingres. At the end I have to remap F12 to perform the F1 functions in one
of the Ingres file.

Thank you for all those who have reply my mail. Much appreciated.

Priscilla.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We have recently upgraded our SUNSparc 4/75 Server from SunOS 4.1.3 to Solaris
2.4, and we are running Ingres 6.04/5. The Xterm we use is Samsung SGS-19M .

Since the OS upgrade, we have encountered problems in using the Enter key and
F1 key in Ingres on an Xterm. The Enter key on the keypad behaves as if it is
the CR key, and the F1 key will only make the cursor to flash. However this
problem does not occurred on a dumb terminal or PC.

We have tried changing the terminfo database by using the tic command, but it
does not make a difference. We have also contacted our local Ingres support
and they belived the cause of the problem is not from Ingres.

Does anyone know how we can go about in solving this problem?
