 Hi sun-managers:
Thanks these warm-hearted people very much:
          "Edgar V.S. Der-Danieliantz" <edd@aic.net>
           Kent R Arnott <karnott@falcon.tamucc.edu>
           Weldon S Godfrey 3 <weldon@excelsus.com>
"Jose Enrique Diaz Jolly (LCI)" <ediaz@sunulsa.ulsa.mx
            Peter Marelas <maral@Sprint.COM.AU>
            Albert Tam <bertie@erebus.hag.housing.washington.edu>
             Mitch Patenaude <mrp@northcoast.com>
            Sahir Siddiqui <sahirns@menger.eecs.stevens-tech.edu>
             Scott Pleitner <scott@cs.curtin.edu.au>
  The answer is:
A finger request comes in as the user "nobody", hence these files
have to be readable by nobody.
      % chmod o+x $HOME
      % chmod o+r .plan .project

                                                 Lee Gao
