        I would like apologize, about my first summary because I forgot to
        include the question in.

        I'm not familiar yet with the different protocoles used, so don't be
        to hard with me, please...

        I work on a UNIX/SUN-SOLARIS system.

        Does someone know what is maximum size for :

                The name of an environment variable (TERM,SHELL,...)
                The contain of this variable (xterm,ksh,...)
