Sun Managers,

Original question:

Has anyone moved disks from a SunOS (4.1.2) machine over to a
Solaris 2.4 machine?

Will the Solaris 2.4 UFS complain if I do this?

Answer:

All of the respondants said that there was no problem in doing
this migration and some have actually done it with no problems
to report.

One warning however from Casper. The disks must have "dynamic"
table format, that is, formatted under 4.1.X or later. To find out
use the dumpfs command (dumpfs | head) and look for an entry simular
to

"magic 11954 format dynamic time Thu Oct 12 10:00:13 1995"
