I got some great answers. The best reference as far as I can tell is the
book and tool by Adrian Cockcroft. The URL for his new Web Page column is:
http://www.sun.com:80/cgi-bin/show?950901/columns/adrian/column1.html
A summary of the answers I received is posted below. In addition to Adrian's
SE Toolkit, I will also check out proctool. Thanks to everyone who responded!

Oh yes, you need Adrian Cockcrofts SE package (including Virtual
Adrian). There are a variety of performance tuning and monitoring tools,
including tools to implements the "rules" from Adrian's Solaris
performance tuning book (which is a must for serious Sun sysadmins).
The package (se2.4) is available from
ftp://opcom.sun.ca/pub/binaries/se2.4

Check out http://www.sun.com this month they have an article about
performance tools.
=========================================================================
GlancePlus from HP ships on the Catalyst CD. You install it and
get a 60 day free trial.
top (freeware from the net) is also nice.

Have a look at `proctool' from:
sunsite.unc.edu:/pub/sun-info/mde/proctool/
=========================================================================
If you have access to SunSolve there are lots of stb documents
you could refer to.
=========================================================================
There is an excelent graphic tool named "proctool". You may contact
the authors:
Morgan Herrington (morgan.herrington@west.sun.com)
Walter Nielsen (walter.nielsen@eng.sun.com)
or look at some of the sunsites for the last release. There are versions
for Solaris 2.3, 2.4, 2.5, both SPARC and X86.

..There is a doc avble from Sun for perf tools for solaris.
Try one of the sunsites.
1. Proctool - avble from Sun
2. openvision - Perform/Trend
3. AIM's Sharpshooter
3. Landmark - TMON UNIX
