SUMMARY#2: finger inconsistancy

Hi,

I have to update my previous summary, Thanks to Stephan Harris (sweh@mpn.com).

He hit the nail on the head. He writes:

" I've seen similar on my SunOS 4.1.3_U1 machine. My theory
is that if the first password entry to match matches the username then it only
displays that user, otherwise it displays all users with matching GECOS fields.

ie if you finger tony and the first tony in the file is username tony then it
only displays tony, otherwise if the first tony is in the gecos field then it
displays all tony's...."

I was able to duplicate this scenario on a 4.1.3 and 4.1.4 machine as well !!
