last week i had asked about how to boot sunos 4.x w/o any swap configured.
the concensus was that it was not possible. booting off the cd apparently
uses some funky kernel to enable to repartition and format the system disk.
4.x needs swap because of the way it's core memory is mapped into virtual
space (see the faq). 5.x does no have this affliction. you can boot
a crippled 5.x (speed wise) w/o swap by simply not having one listed in
/etc/vfstab.
