The workaround : define 3 links :
ln -s /opt/SUNWconn/snm/agents /opt/SUNWconn/agents
ln -s /opt/SUNWconn/snm/icons /opt/SUNWconn/icons
ln -s /opt/SUNWconn/snm/struct /opt/SUNWconn/struct

SNM works then like a charm. I can again start it with "-i"
switch. Thanks to all who responded.
