I should've been more specific, and stated that I was running a generic
install of Solaris 2.4.
Given that, the log files are typically located in /var/adm, although
individual packages can and will locate them elsewhere.
Recommended solutions are cron scripts that periodically clean out
accumulated log files, perhaps with using "find" to locate them,
and moving /var off the root file system (which is what I would like
to do, since it is basically full, and I'd like to install the
recommended patches cluster).
Patches load old files into /var/sadm, which can also fill up the
root file system very quickly.
