My question:

the first and most concise answer came from Casper Dik
<casper@holland.sun.com>:

> Check ftp.fwi.uva.nl:/pub/solaris/auto-install/* for additional guidance.
i also had a question about how to determine the order that suninstall
loads packages. Michael J. Shon <mshon@sunrock.east.sun.com> suggests
ls -t of /var/sadm/pkg.
to my question regarding what suninstall/ttinstall might be doing behind
my back, the consensus was that it was too complicated to begin to
guess.
i've downloaded Casper's sample auto-install scripts and will look into
setting up Jumpstart.
