My original question dealt with a replacement for the wheel group, originally
under SunOS 4.x, that would function under Solaris 2.x. It seemed that the
majority of responses that I received were all requests for the solution that
I found... Unfortunately, I don't have much of a solution to offer...
One or two of your responded and suggested that I create a group in /etc/group
and make 'su' executable only by owner (root) and the specified group. This
will, unfortunately, have to be a temporary solution to the problem of Solaris
lacking the support for a wheel group... I had originally considered this idea,
but had hoped that there was something in Solaris that maybe I had missed...
If anyone has anything else to offer, please let me know. I would be interested
in seeing other solutions to this "bug".
Thanks,
