It is completely possible to export a 4G disc from a solaris machine (Sol
2.X) to a SunOS 4.1.X machine.

It seems like it, that all our problems (both with the 4G disk, as well as
the IP problem that caused the machine to hang after the IP table got
corrupted) are caused by a faulty motherboard ..
