SUMMARY:
The overwhelming response is that you do not need to worry about those eeprom
settings. There only used to initialize the ports at boot time and when the OS
is up and your running your communcations software, the software will setup
the proper handshaking and carrier-detect.
For those that are not using any comm software except "tip". The admintool
sets up the hardware flow or software flow control.
One person responded with: Set both the tty parameters to false; this will
allow the Sun to respond to both carrier-detect and rts-cts control properly.
But again, this is only for boot up... Your software app will override any of
those settings...
