Hi Sun Managers,
My original message was regarding sendmail 8.6.9 not processing the mail queue:

Thanks to: Brad Burdick <bburdick@radio.com> and Joe Konczal
<jkonczal@nist.gov> for pointing out that I have to tell sendmail to look at
the queue with the -q option :-/. I changed the line in /etc/rc2.d/S88sendmail
to read:
/usr/lib/sendmail -bd -q30m
so that it checks the mail queue every 30 minutes...
Also thanks to Laura Taylor <ltaylor@hootowl.bbn.com> and Tech Login
<tech@ionet.net> (!) for telling me that I should upgrade due the gaping
security holes in 8.6.9. I've just installed 8.6.12 which is working
superbly.
Jack.
