Original Question:
===================
Hi all,
I am trying to debug some name server problems, and I can't remember if
there is a way to purge the cache of previously looked up DNS information.
I assume that restarting named would purge the cache ( wouldn't it ), but
was wondering if there is any other way to purge the cache.
Summary:

Both replies I got support the thought that "kill -HUP" would
do what I want.
