You could try Introl Corporation, Minneapolis MN. (612)788-9391 (phone # could
be out of date.

Or try to find software from QStar called Axxess. Sorry no reference, but
we're paying less for Axxess than for Introl's product. (We're dealling
through a distributor, so that's why I don't have contact info.) The
distributor is Intertechnology Inc. (416) 445-5500 -- Frank Williams.

Good luck.

I HIGHLY recommend the optical drive drivers from artecon.
They let you use the things raw, or as a normal filesystem, and
they come with nifty graphical utils :-)
a smidge pricy ($500?) but if you can afford it, I really recommend it.
we've tried other drivers, and they were flakey. THe artecon stuff is
rock-solid.

Subject: DRIVERS FOR SOLARIS 2.4

K-par Systems in Bristol, England (UK) have been selling
drivers for Solaris 2.4 for the last three months. The software
for optical devices such as the HP C1716T are supported via our
Optical Disc Support Software (ODSS).

The only problem currently is that 1024 bytes/sector media is
not supported.

The list price for ODSS is 440 pounds sterling.
