The replies covered:
1. WABI 2.0
2. PC-cards in Suns
3. Adobe's Acrobat product which is available for Windows, SunOS 4.1.3 & Solaris
4. Informative Graphics Corp's Myriad product
We have already considered WABI. It's the ideal solution, except in a SunOS world. I am going to look at the Acrobat solution since it's available on the relevant
platforms, and the viewer is free according to Adobe. I've also understand that
the next release of Netscape will have an integrated Acrobat Portable Document
Format (PDF) viewer. Windows users will need to buy the Acrobat 'printer' driver
so that they can save their docs as PDF files. These can then be attached to
mail messages, viewed and printed by the Sun Acrobat viewer.
Option 2 is probably too expensive. I've yet to find any UK distributor of the
Myriad product.
