Thanks for posting the information. It definitely helps make sense out of what
I have been reading. It does not answer how to handle a bootp type of system.
Our company maintains a modem pool that supports slip and ppp, and assigns
a different IP number to anyone who logs in. I have seen no references to
BOOTP options in the ppp software included in Solaris 2.4. Can someone
on the net shed some light on how to manage dynamic IP number assignment?
