Hi.

My question was in regard to what to use instead of ranlib under Solaris 2.4.
I received many replies, most of which said that ranlib was not necessary
under Solaris 2.4.

I therefore changed my Makefile so that the line:
RANLIB=ranlib

to now read:
RANLIB=true

Which fooled make nicely, and my program linked fine.
