Original problem: SOLVED

>>hostxyz sendmail[466]: NOQUEUE: SYSERR: orderq: cannot open "/usr/spool/mqueue">>as ".": Permission denied

This error is caused by not having hostxyz in the /etc/exports file
like this:
/var/spool -access=hostxyz,root=hostxyz

Also, do not forget to run /usr/etc/exportfs to make the chages take effect.
